The best Eye Care – Kalahari Lifestyle

When it comes to skincare, the eyes have it.
Why our skin around the eyes does need special treatment? Our Skin Expert prepared a few useful information and recommendation, so you will know better how to take your eye care to the next level.

Let’s start from the beginning

Our Skin Expert has been asked so many times if we have to have a different skincare products for our eye care or why we can’t apply just the same cream we apply on the rest of the face.

The skin around our eyes is more sensitive and vulnerable compared to the rest of the face.

The tissue below the eyes is naturally missing a lot of essential elements that make your skin strong—there’s very little soft tissue like a muscle of fat. Lack of those supporting elements increases the likelihood of the skin caving in. The skin around our eyes is very thin—because of that is more susceptible to breaking down, meaning it’s that it’s more prone to laxity, developing fine lines and wrinkles, becoming looser and even thinner. Anatomically speaking, the skin itself is literally covering the hollow space of the eye socket. There is also the issue of dark circles and puffiness that can be a result of lack of sleep, diet and stress.

Taking into consideration the fact how the skin around our eyes is different, it’s key to focus on our eyes skincare and choose the best products. There are plenty of ways to prevent damage to the skin around your eyes and even help repair that area. We prepared the essential tips you need to keep your future looking bright.

Number 1 of your Eye Care – Eye cream

People think that whatever they use on the rest of their face will work just fine on their eyes. Unfortunately, as you know not, this is not the case—it comes down to a few key differences:

  • Our face cream most often is strong for the delicate eye area and can cause stinging, burning and inflammation due to concentrated ingredients.
  • A face moisturiser is not an anti-ageing product and while hydration is definitely something you need, it won’t do anything to fix or prevent the signs of ageing.
  • Skincare products created for eye care are specifically formulated to avoid that with special delivery systems to ensure those ingredients actually gives the eyes what it needs (collagen-stimulating ingredients) where it’s needed (the fibroblasts cells in the dermis).

Our recommendation:

Kalahari Nourishing Eye Balm

Kalahari Eye Balm has a light-textured formula, that is designed purposely for the sensitive skin around the eyes. Rich in a combination of effective botanical ingredients including high concentrations of antioxidants and vitamins. Nourish the delicate and sensitive skin around the eyes. The key ingredients will effectively reduce dark circles and water retention (puffiness) by stimulating blood circulation. The balm will leave the eye area protected and smooth. Apply a small amount of Kalahari Nourishing Eye Balm to protect your sensitive area.

Number 2 – Let’s talk about Eye Serum

When it comes to delivering the best benefits, the eye serum is the answer. The difference between the eye cream and eye serum is essentially the same as the difference between the moisturisers and serums that you’d apply on your face. Eye creams are thicker, as they contain more oils and fats. Eye serums are usually water-based and less viscous and they can penetrate deeper into the skin and can bring more benefits.  While creams are ideal for hydrating and retaining moisture on the surface of the skin, serums usually contain more active ingredients.

If you want to target more stubborn issues such as discolouration, wrinkles, or sagging, an eye serum is definitely the way to go.

Our choice – Kalahari Anti-Puffiness Serum

Kalahari Eye Serum is rich in concentrated botanical extracts derived from Kigelia Africana, Ginkgo biloba, Rosemary and Hops extract and it’s perfect eye treatment for your area around the eyes. The rejuvenating plant extracts stimulate cell renewal and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The skin will appear visibly firmer and ultra-hydrated. Excellent for restoring cell damage.
